Why an oversized AC leaves a house clammy
An air conditioner has two jobs: drop the temperature and pull humidity out of the air. An oversized unit does the first job too fast. It satisfies the thermostat and shuts off before it has run long enough to dry the air, which leaves you with a house that is cold and still feels damp.
